500 years ago, Cesis Castle was the most powerful medieval fortress of Livonia, and today the most spectacular and best-preserved castle ruins in Latvia.

Concert Hall “Cesis” is a unique multifunctional cultural center of national and regional importance. The Concert Hall building has acquired its architectural form by reconstructing the old Cesis Community Building. Building on historically authentic elements, the house has been supplemented with contemporary architectural forms and new additions. The interior is given a special character by natural wood parts in restored ceiling beams and indoor trimmings. The elegant outline of the building forms the overall image of the historic living with the modern.

Cirulisi nature trails provide an opportunity to explore the development of the beautiful Gauja valley from the Ice Age to the present in an inspiring walk! They reveal the history of the Gauja River and the surrounding nature. How did the river come about? What were the ancient plants here? What were the first settlers? Receive answers in a leisurely stroll through this beautiful place, which people from all over the world come to admire.

Swimming pool “Rifs” offers activities for both adults and children in the large swimming pool and two hydropools, gym, aerobics hall or relaxing in saunas and swimming pools, as well as sunbathing.

Gauja is the most popular river for boating in Latvia, which circles around Vidzeme with a total of 440 winding flow kilometers, while at the same time showing a distance of only 90 km in the airline between the source and the estuary.

Araisi Lake Castle was a fortified Latgalian settlement on the island of Araisi from the 9th to the 10th century. Under the guidance of archaeologist Janis Apals, the Araisi Lake Castle is partially reconstructed and is one of the most popular archaeological tourism objects in Latvia.

Ungurmuiza manor is a harmonious ensemble of 18th century wooden buildings, surrounded by giant oaks, and is an important place among the heritage of Latvian cultural monuments. It was built in 1732 by Baron von Campenhausen as his family home, and currently there are no similar baroque buildings in Latvia, the indoors of which are so richly embellished with murals.

In the southeast of Cesis, in Cirulisi, a legendary, never freezing, Holy spring flows out of a sandstone niche. It flows from a depth of 88 meters in pure, large, natural white sand rock with a capacity of 3 liters of water per second. The origin and existence of the Holy spring is very ancient – many centuries old. Holy spring cave is the first cave in Latvia mentioned in scientific literature.
